Wangnoi Prestige Golf & Country Club location past the Don Mueang International Airport takes a little over 1 hour to reach from downtown Bangkok. The re-grassing of the former Muang Ake layout together with a clubhouse facelift and new management in 2018 makes Wangnoi Prestige a good choice for those looking for an above average Bangkok golf experience at a reasonable price.
The 7,238-yard layout features native Zoysia grass fairways and ultra-dwarf TiffEagle greens. Wide fairways flanked by large mature trees are the general rule. While strategically placed bunkers, as well as natural lakes and streams, form hazards that come into play on most holes of the otherwise flattish course.
The 17th, a 568 yard Par-5 (Handicap 1) is the Wangnoi signature hole. Long hitters can go for it in two strokes. However, most golfers should lay up on the third shot to the right the water which runs down the left side of the fairway and green.
