Long Vien Golf Club in Vientiane is Laos first 27-hole course, originally inaugurated as an 18-hole course in 2012 and further extended in 2016. It is reputed to be one of the best courses in Vientiane. Situated outside the city in the Vientiane Special Economic Zone, its location allows for development of the club into a world-class facility. Plans are on to make it a 36-hole layout.
The 3 9-hole courses are called the Long Thanh, Lao-Viet and the Vientiane. The entire layout of the Long Vien golf course is essentially flat with challenges introduced by way of water bodies, dunes and tough bunkers. The Vientiane is a shorter course and is more distinct from the other two courses. If you have to choose, then the combination of Long Thanh and Vientiane is a good 18-hole round.
A strategically planned round of golf will result in an exciting day here. The Long Vien Golf Club is also floodlit for night golf. The other facilities include chipping and putting greens and grass driving range. The modern clubhouse is equipped with high-class locker rooms, an international restaurant and pro-shop.
