Ilocandia Golf and Country Club was built in 1978 in Ilocos Norte. Ever since its construction, it has been one of pride and joys of the Ilocos area . The prestigious course was designed by legendary golfer and PGA Champion, Gary Player. The construction of the course was not just for golfers, but also designed by for the purpose of serving the recreational needs of former President Ferdinand Marcos.
The 18-hole golf course was built along the famous Paoay Lake, where players can gaze at its beautiful landscape as they play. It has a medium-sized golfing area, where natural rolling terrains were designed to create an amazing natural experience. Two of its remarkable holes, no. 3 and no. 4 have water hazards like the lake, canals, and ponds as well as fairway bunkers.
Ilocandia Golf and Country Club has a clubhouse built near its golf course, so players can do other things aside from golfing. Its clubhouse has several facilities such as driving range, practice facilities, bar, café, lounges, swimming pool, and pro shop. A special treat is that golfers who stop by for a round of golf, can also use the facilities unlike other private courses.
